About This File
The Chrysler Hemi engine is considered the most awesome racing engine ever produced. Introduced in 1951 the first generation of Hemi V8 engines were produced from 1951 to 1958. The second generation 426 cubic inch Hemi V8 engine was reintroduced in 1964. In 1966 Chrysler let the Hemi engine loose on the streets with the 1966 Steet Hemi 426 which was factory rated at 425hp. If that is not enough to clean your clock, the Mopar 426 Hemi in this video produces 820hp with 689 foot pounds of torque. Now thats some serious horsepower on the street!
